Needleworks Collective is a small group of craftivist friends: Emily, Aisha and Rebecca.  That is a very small group but we have big ideas.

Rebecca likes to make stuff, all kinds of things...knitted, crocheted, spun, sewn, cooked and grown. She especially likes making beautiful, useful things from scraps and local materials. She blogs at needleandspindle.com.

Emily likes to think of herself as a crafter in the midst of suburbia who will work with any found, preloved or recycled materials. And she is yet to learn to knit or crochet. So anyone can craft.

The whole process (from the first inkling of an idea to the last wonky stitch or glob of glue) of making something useful and beautiful from broken or discarded (and disregarded) materials gives Aisha a pleasant buzz. She also believes in the all mighty powers of craft as culture, community and communication.

Send them a message on needleworkscollective@gmail.com or you can find Rebecca as rebeccaspindle and Aisha as ajmsultan on Instagram.

Needleworks also has a mailing list. Just enter your details in the form below and  you'll  receive project updates and event invitations by email.
